About
Paris based composer, producer and guitarist Detente has been working across multiple music scenes for over a decade. His album Ghosts came out in 2024 and was followed by a run of EPs and remixes that extended the same musical period. The Detente Group project grew out of an unexpected moment: a machine broke down mid show, forcing him to finish the set with only his guitar. That unplanned night pointed him in a new direction. Now working as a trio alongside guitarist Jules Cassignol and bassist Sarah Louise Barbett, Detente Group builds a post rock sound around loud amplifiers, effects pedals and interlocking guitar riffs. The format puts the focus squarely on the live interplay between the musicians.
