Dimitri Spirin made his name as the frontman of the Russian punk rock band Tarakany!, a group that built up a devoted following over three and a half decades before disbanding in the spring of 2022. He now performs as a solo act with a full electric band, keeping the Tarakany! catalogue alive for audiences who grew up with those songs. The repertoire draws on the band's most recognisable tracks, many of which have taken on an unexpectedly resonant, almost prophetic quality for Russian speaking listeners in the years since the band's split.
