About
Dirtyphonics has been reshaping what electronic music can sound like since 2004, dragging drum and bass and dubstep into full contact with heavy metal. The Paris duo of Charly Barranger and PitchIn Corrales made an immediate impression when their debut single "French F**k" hit number one on Beatport in 2008 and stayed there for weeks. That combination of crushing low end and metal energy became their calling card, earning them remix work for everyone from Linkin Park and Marilyn Manson to Skrillex and Benny Benassi. Their 2013 debut album Irreverence set the template: thrash guitars, pounding drums, and anthemic electro colliding in the same track. They deepened their metal roots with the Vantablack EP alongside Sullivan King in 2017, which racked up over 15 million Spotify streams. In 2022 they paid tribute to the French bass music scene with the What The French EP, and in 2024 they released their second album Magnetic on Monstercat. Recent clips show them still very much at work, blending drum and bass with psytrance and performing live sets with artists like Malaa.
