About
Brighton's Ditz have been carving out a reputation as one of the more abrasive and exciting bands in the UK rock scene since forming in 2016. Their sound draws comparisons to IDLES, Daughters, and Gilla Band, which gives you a pretty good idea of what you're in for: angular, confrontational rock with no interest in making things comfortable. Their 2022 debut album The Great Regression landed to serious critical praise, and the band had already been building momentum through their 2020 EP 5 Songs and a run of singles that stretch back to their earliest days. The five piece, fronted by Cal Francis and anchored by Caleb Remnant on bass, rounded out their lineup in early 2019 with drummer Sam Evans. They went independent for their sophomore album Never Exhale, released in 2025, showing they're not slowing down. A live album recorded at the Louisiana also captures them in their natural habitat.
