Sam Divine has built her reputation as one of house music's most consistent presences, earning the title 'Queen of Defected Records' after years of deep involvement with the label. Signed to Defected's artist roster in 2009, she went on to host their weekly radio show and has played everywhere from Tomorrowland and Creamfields to practically every club worth mentioning in Ibiza, including a summer residency at Ushuaïa. In 2024 she took home 'Best House DJ' at the DJ Awards. Beyond DJing, she produces and remixes too. Her rework of 'Flowers' by Sweet Female Attitude made noise on both Beatport and Traxsource, and she has put out a string of originals alongside collaborators like CASSIMM and Josh Barry. In 2015 she launched her own imprint, DVINE Sounds, giving emerging artists a platform. Her 2019 two hour Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 remains a highlight, a showcase of her soulful, warm approach to house music.
