Dizzy Mizz Lizzy built their reputation as the band that dragged Denmark into the 1990s rock revival, and they did it with a power trio setup that critics kept describing as too big to fit on a three person stage. Tim Christensen on guitar and vocals, Martin Nielsen on bass, and Søren Friis on drums drew from Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana while carving out what they preferred to call power rock rather than grunge. Their self titled debut from 1994 became the best selling rock album in Danish history, and they found an equally devoted audience in Japan. After splitting in 1998, they reunited in 2010 for what was supposed to be a one off tour, but the demand was simply too strong to ignore. The comeback became permanent when they announced a full return in 2014. Their third album Forward in Reverse landed in 2016 and was followed by Alter Echo in 2020, both of which were met with serious critical enthusiasm and restored their place at the top of Danish rock.
