About
Doctor P, the stage name of English producer and DJ Shaun Brockhurst, has been one of the more distinctive voices in dubstep since the late 2000s. Tracks like "Sweet Shop", "Tetris" and "Big Boss" racked up millions of YouTube plays, while his remix of Plan B's "Love Goes Down" showed he could do serious damage to a pop record too. He co founded Circus Records with Flux Pavilion, DJ Swan E and Earl Falconer, giving the UK dubstep scene one of its more durable independent homes. His collaboration with Adam F and Method Man, "The Pit", even landed in the trailer for the 2014 comedy film Let's Be Cops. The "P" in the name, by the way, stands for Picto, a nickname that came from predictive text mangling his actual surname.
