About
Domo Genesis built his reputation as one of the more lyrically focused members of Odd Future, the LA hip hop collective that also included Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. His flow leans relaxed and deliberate, drawing on influences like Nas, Mobb Deep, and MF Doom, and his productions often carry a jazzy, soul tinged weight. His 2012 collaboration with The Alchemist, No Idols, remains a fan favorite, stacking features from Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, and Action Bronson over boom bap production. His 2016 debut album Genesis, with Anderson.Paak on the lead single "Dapper", showed how far he had come from his mixtape days. Since founding his own label Facade Records in 2018, he has stayed productive, partnering closely with production duo Graymatter on What You Don't Get!? in 2023 and the EP WORLD GONE MAD and album SCRAM! in 2025.
