About
Doodswens is a black metal band from Eindhoven, founded in 2017 by Inge van der Zon. What sets them apart is their approach to live performance: Inge handles both drums and vocals simultaneously, accompanied by R. on bass and P. on guitar. Their shows are designed as something closer to ritual than concert, with an altar on stage and sage smoke in the air, pulling the audience into a confrontation with the heaviest emotions around life and death. Their music doesn't offer comfort. It reflects the darkest corners of the human psyche, the weight of negativity and the grip of depression, and they lean into that tension rather than soften it. The occult and human suffering sit side by side in their work, creating an atmosphere that is as ceremonial as it is crushing.
