About
Dope built their sound by smashing heavy metal and industrial rock together, drawing from acts like Ministry and Skinny Puppy, and that raw, abrasive mix has kept them going since 1997. Fronted by Edsel Dope, the band broke through with their debut Felons and Revolutionaries, which moved over 250,000 copies off the back of relentless touring with the likes of Alice Cooper and Kid Rock. The cover of Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round" got them genuine radio traction, hitting number 37 on the US Mainstream Rock charts, and "Debonaire" landed on the Scream 3 soundtrack and the first Fast and the Furious film. They kept busy beyond records too, writing Vince McMahon's WWE entrance theme "No Chance" and scoring a number one on the Top Heatseekers chart with American Apathy. Seven studio albums deep, with Blood Money Part Zer0 arriving in 2023 and over a million albums sold worldwide, Dope have quietly become one of industrial metal's most durable acts.
