About
Dorfmann & Bos is a duo from Noord Holland: singer Anouk Dorfmann and multi instrumentalist Martijn Bos, who plays around nine instruments and is effectively her one man band. They work somewhere between concert and musical theatre, building their shows around French and Dutch chansons with personal stories and a good dose of humour in between. Songs by Brel, Van Veen, Van Roozendaal, Barbara and Stromae have all featured in their repertoire. The two go back a long way. They won the Concours de la Chanson together as fifteen year olds, then drifted apart through studies, marriages and everything else life threw at them, before finding each other again. They debuted in 2023 with the comedic show Mesdames et Messieurs, and followed it with Barricade, a programme about freedom, struggle, solidarity and comfort, built around the idea of listening to each other even when it chafes. Some of its songs also appeared on an album of the same name.
