About
Dorona Alberti has one of the more eclectic CVs in Dutch music, moving between industrial rock and smooth jazz lounge with apparent ease. She joined German industrial act KMFDM back in 1992 and appeared on most of their albums throughout the decade, including Angst, Nihil, and Xtort. That industrial credibility sits in interesting contrast to her work with Gare du Nord, the Dutch and Belgian lounge group she has been part of since 2007, releasing a string of albums from Sex 'n' Jazz through to Stronger! She has also worked with Dutch bandleader André Rieu, performing songs like I Will Survive and Live is Life live with the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Rotterdam based, she has built a career that refuses to sit still in one genre.
