About
Dublin Legends carry the torch for one of Ireland's most beloved folk acts, The Dubliners. The group grew directly from that legendary band: vocalist and guitarist Sean Cannon was a member of The Dubliners from 1982 to 2020, and when frontman John Sheahan stepped away in 2012 the Dubliners name retired with him, while the music carried on. The current four piece lineup brings together Seán Cannon, Gerry O'Connor, Shay Kavanagh and Paul Watchorn. Live, they conjure the atmosphere of a proper Irish pub almost instantly, trading in rousing songs and melancholic ballads that feel equally at home in a coastal fishing village as in a city backstreet bar. It is that combination of high energy and genuine emotional weight that keeps audiences stomping and clapping through the whole set.
