About
Toronto duo dvsn, made up of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, built their reputation on a sound that sits squarely in the zone where alternative R&B meets trap soul. They came up through Drake's OVO Sound label after just three songs started circulating in 2015, one of which caught ears when it aired on Apple's Beats 1 radio. Their debut album Sept. 5th landed to positive reviews in 2016 and cracked Spin's 50 Best Albums of that year. From there they kept the momentum going with Morning After in 2017, then A Muse in Her Feelings in 2020, which debuted at number 23 on the Billboard 200. A full collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign, Cheers to the Best Memories, followed in 2021, and their fourth studio album Working on My Karma arrived in 2022. Along the way they appeared at Coachella, featured Future, Snoh Aalegra and Buju Banton on tracks, and even covered a Kings of Leon classic. In 2025 they moved on from OVO Sound and signed with Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings.
