Eliza Rose

About

When Interplanetary Criminal sent Eliza Rose a track, she wrote lyrics inspired by Pam Grier's role in the 1973 blaxploitation film Coffy, and the result became one of the most unlikely chart stories in years. That song, B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All), blew up on the London club scene, got massive play at Glastonbury 2022, and eventually hit number one on the UK Singles Chart in September 2022, making Rose the first female DJ to top that chart since Sonique back in 2000. She also holds the curious distinction of having the UK's number one single on the day Queen Elizabeth II died and Charles III's reign began. The BPI certified it platinum by December 2022. Rose is a London born DJ, producer and singer who presents a radio show for The Vinyl Factory and has built a reputation for sharp collaborations across house, UK garage and electronic music. Since B.O.T.A. she has kept busy, releasing tracks with the likes of The Martinez Brothers and MJ Cole, and dropping her own solo material including Better Love and Lovesome. She has also found time to write a novel, What Happens in Dreamland.
