Cardiff born producer and DJ Elkka won the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix of the Year in 2021, a pretty big deal in electronic music circles, and it led directly to her becoming a BBC Radio 1 Resident the following year. Her sound sits at the intersection of house and electronica, as heard on her EPs Euphoric Melodies and Harmonic Melodies, and her 2024 debut album Prism of Pleasure on Ninja Tune. She has also put out music on Local Action and her own label femme culture, an inclusive queer platform she co founded with Alex Lambert that runs the annual HeForShe compilation in partnership with UN Women. On the remix front, her rework of Ela Minus's Megapunk took home the AIM Independent Remix of the Year award in 2021. Live, she has supported Caribou and Jon Hopkins and played Glastonbury, All Points East, and O2 Academy Brixton.
