Elwood Stray are a metalcore outfit from Essen, Germany, blending post hardcore energy with alternative metal weight. Formed in 2016, the five piece built their reputation through EPs before signing to Out of Line Music in 2022, which set the stage for their debut full length Gone With The Flow in 2024. The band features vocalist Maik Nehrkorn, guitarists Fabian Petz and Niels Flor, bassist Raphael Sinz, and drummer Julian Ristow. Their second album, Descending, followed in 2026. Videos for tracks like Hollow, Spark, and Free Falling give a good sense of their sound: chunky riffs, big hooks, and a melodic edge that keeps things from getting too heavy for its own good.
