About
ERNST makes music that feels like it belongs in a film noir, built on unsettling vocal textures, frayed guitars and eerie drums. The Belgian act has earned a steady stream of attention from the music press in their home country, with releases like 'Er wordt verteld', an EP of musical horror stories, and 'Sad Seasons', a four part collection of season themed soundtracks, both drawing notable coverage. Their sound sits somewhere between art rock, roots and cinematic jazz with a touch of David Lynch atmosphere. Songs like the bass driven pop track 'In Spring' and the single 'We Talk Like Girls' have found their way into regular rotation on Belgian radio stations Willy and Radio 1.
