About
Eva Gevorgyan has been turning heads in the classical piano world since her early teens, racking up first prizes and grand prix awards at competitions across Europe and the United States. The Russian Armenian pianist and composer studied at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and the Reina Sofia School of Music, and honed her craft at the International Piano Academy Lago di Como under some of the most respected names in the field. She has shared stages with major orchestras including the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Russian National Orchestra, working with conductors such as Valery Gergiev and Vasily Petrenko. Her competition record is striking: grand prix wins in Gorizia and Chicago, first prizes in Düsseldorf and Cleveland, and a scholarship from the Ruhr Piano Festival personally chosen by Evgeny Kissin. In 2021 she reached the finals of the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition, picking up the prize for youngest female finalist. She has also performed at top festivals including the Verbier Festival and the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki Zdrój.
