About
Evelyn Dupuy grew up in Santiago de Cuba, where salsa and Afro Cuban rhythms were part of daily life, and her voice has carried those roots ever since. After moving to the Netherlands, she built a sound that weaves that Cuban warmth together with latin jazz and European influences. Her lyrics circle around desire, love and identity, delivered with a mix of sensuality and real conviction, music that works on the dancefloor just as well as it does late at night when the mood turns tender. Over the years she has shared studio and stage experience with artists including Cimafunk, Tony Succar and Chuchito Valdés. Her album work digs into her Cuban heritage, femininity and the freedom to speak without holding back, always with rhythm at the centre of everything.
