About
Also known as: Hommage à Brel
Filip Jordens is a Belgian theatre maker, singer and actor whose work spans stage, film and television. He trained at Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp, graduating as 'Meester in de Kleinkunst', and has been building a substantial body of work ever since. From 2002 to 2013 he was part of the artistic core of Theatergezelschap Bad Van Marie, whose show Win een Auto received a nomination for Het Theaterfestival. He spent fifteen years playing Monsieur Brun in La Trilogie by Marcel Pagnol with Compagnie Marius, and took on the title role in a production of L'Homme de La Mancha that toured Belgium, Montevideo and Madrid, later reprised at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. One of his most celebrated projects is his tribute to Jacques Brel. Audiences and critics alike have noted how his voice, stage energy and chemistry with fellow musicians bring the spirit of 'le grand Jacques' genuinely to life, emotional and timeless in equal measure.
