Fit For A King

About

Fit For A King started as a Tyler, Texas band that built its following on the back of one music video, "Ancient Waters", from their independent debut Descendants. That got them noticed, and by 2012 they had signed to Solid State Records, which has been home ever since. Their sound sits in metalcore, with heavy leanings that pull in melodic and djent touches, and they have put out seven albums on the label, most recently Lonely God in 2025. They like a good team up too. They reworked tracks with We Came as Romans and Silent Planet, put out a collaboration EP with August Burns Red called Guardians of the Path, and have brought in guests like Ryo Kinoshita of Crystal Lake and Jonathan Vigil of The Ghost Inside. They have also said they are slowing down on album releases to focus on making intentional albums, and their latest single "Witness The End" features Chris Motionless.
