About
Fit for an Autopsy have been one of the heaviest acts to come out of New Jersey since forming in Jersey City in 2008, grinding through deathcore with enough brutality to sit comfortably alongside death metal and deathgrind. Guitarist Will Putney, who doubles as a sought after producer, anchors a lineup that solidified around current vocalist Joe Badolato in 2015. Their catalogue spans seven studio albums, from the raw debut The Process of Human Extermination through to The Nothing That Is, released in late 2024. Signed to Nuclear Blast since 2018, the band hit a creative high with Oh What the Future Holds in 2022, which Loudwire flagged as one of the best rock and metal albums of that year. They have also kept things interesting beyond full lengths, releasing split EPs with Thy Art Is Murder and The Acacia Strain in 2016, then revisiting that format in 2023 with The Aggression Sessions alongside Thy Art Is Murder and Malevolence.
