Florentien Mol

About

Florentien Mol is a singer and theatre maker from Haarlem who sits somewhere between music and small scale theatre. Her show Fear of Emotions is built around her own songs, poetic lyrics and personal storytelling, with atmospheric instrumental arrangements supporting the compositions. The themes she keeps returning to are fear, longing and the courage it takes to show yourself honestly. The result is an intimate kind of kleinkunst, the Dutch cabaret and songwriter tradition, that's meant to chafe a little, comfort a little and leave people thinking. In her home town she's seen as one of the more versatile theatre makers around.
