Flux Pavilion (GB)

About

Also known as: Joshua Steele

Flux Pavilion, the alias of Northamptonshire producer Joshua Steele, built his reputation on bass heavy dubstep and EDM that regularly crossed over into mainstream pop culture. His 2010 track "I Can't Stop" is a prime example: Jay Z and Kanye West sampled it on Watch the Throne, it powered the viral Kony 2012 campaign, and it turned up in both the video game SSX and the trailer for the film Rush. Not bad for a dubstep cut. Steele co founded Circus Records with Doctor P in 2009, and the label became a key outlet for his output alongside releases like the UK chart hitting "Bass Cannon" and the EP Blow the Roof. He has headlined tours across the US and UK and played festival slots at Glastonbury, Coachella and Reading. His debut album Tesla came out in 2015, followed by a second studio album called.wav in 2021. The Walt Disney Company even tapped him to remix the Star Wars Rebels theme, which says a lot about how far his sound travels.
