Fly Anakin is a rapper and producer from Richmond, Virginia, and a co founder of the hip hop collective Mutant Academy. His pen is sharp and his sound is rooted in soulful, underground production, which has earned him a strong reputation among those who follow rap closely. Collaborations with Pink Siifu, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist helped build his profile, but his solo album Frank cemented his standing as one of the more compelling voices in contemporary underground hip hop. His follow up record, (The) Forever Dream, was executive produced by Quelle Chris and pulls in a wider, more experimental range of sounds while keeping his core style intact. The album features contributions from Pink Siifu, Denmark Vessey, BbyMutha and The Alchemist, a guest list that reflects just how deep his connections run in the underground scene.
