About
Food Bass Shelter Soundsystem is a reggae soundsystem from The Hague, put together in 2013 by two selectors who go by Iskander and Serge. Their sets draw from a broad range of styles within the reggae spectrum, moving between roots, steppers and dubplate productions. The thread connecting it all is a commitment to tunes that carry real weight, both in message and in sound. Sufferation, oppression and a heavyweight positive vibration are the guiding themes. Quality vinyl is central to what they do, and the name itself lays it out plainly: food, bass and shelter as the basic needs in life.
