About
Forever Grey are a Michigan coldwave and dark wave group built around Kevin Czarnik and Samantha Kubiak, whose sound draws heavily from the gloomy textures of 1980s goth and post punk. They lean on drum machines, driving bass lines and dark, introspective lyrics to craft an atmosphere that echoes acts like Joy Division and The Sisters of Mercy while keeping things firmly in the present tense. Their catalog spans several albums, including Alabaster Chamber and Autumn Calling, both from 2016, followed by Departed on the German label Young and Cold Records in 2020, and the self released Sympathy Garden in 2022. Czarnik and Kubiak also keep busy with other projects, among them Milliken Chamber, Prudence, and Belladonna Grave.
