Forrest Frank built his name as one half of the pop duo Surfaces before stepping out on his own as a solo act in the contemporary Christian space, and the pivot paid off fast. Named Billboard's number one new Christian artist of 2023, he released a string of projects that year alone, including California Cowboy, a full narrative album he had been shaping since 2021, and New Hymns, which folds traditional hymns into pop arrangements with real care. His 2024 album Child of God hit number one on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and stayed there for 35 non consecutive weeks, selling 22,000 copies in its first week. The follow up, Child of God II, pushed even further, landing at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and sending the single "Your Way's Better" into the Hot 100. He is also one half of the Christian superduo Party Wave.
