Frank Dupree is a German pianist from Rastatt who works at home in chamber music settings. He performs alongside string players, bringing piano quartets to concert halls where the combination of piano, violin, viola and cello gets to do what the format does best: create an intimate, layered conversation between four voices. His programming tends to reach for meaty repertoire, pairing Schumann and the early Mahler with Mozart's celebrated Piano Quartet in G minor, a work that set the template for everything that came after it in the genre.
