Friday Pilots Club spent years building their sound across a string of singles and EPs before landing on something that finally felt like the full picture. The Chicago alternative rock five piece, led by vocalist Caleb Hiltunen and bassist Drew Polovick, signed to Big Machine Records in 2019 and released a pair of EPs before parting ways with the label over creative differences. That split turned out to be a turning point: free from those constraints, the band leaned into a collaborative writing process that brought all five members into the fold. Their debut album Nowhere, out in 2024, is where it all clicked. Polovick described it as an amalgamation of what every member believes in, and the music video for "Vampire Disco" gives a good taste of where they landed. They toured the UK, the US, and Canada on the back of it, and also co headlined dates with Circa Waves. The single "Big Money" arrived in April 2026, keeping the momentum going.
