About
Fright Years is a four piece guitar band from Edinburgh, playing indie rock that turns personal pain into something bigger than one person's story. They formed in 2021 and have built a reputation since then on forceful live shows and a fanbase that keeps growing. Their sound pulls from 90s alternative rock and the post punk and new wave of the 80s, yet it still feels current. Wolf Alice, The Killers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs are the touchstones that come up for them, and the result is raw and sweeping at the same time. If Florence + The Machine ever got under your skin, this is a band worth hearing next.
