About
Fuente del Ritmo pulls from a wide range of traditions, blending Latin American, African, and Cuban/Caribbean rhythms with rock. The percussion setup is central to what they do: congas, timbales, bongos, and assorted smaller instruments sit alongside a drum kit, creating a layered rhythmic foundation. On top of that sits a funky bass groove, with keyboard and guitar solos woven through in a style that draws on latin funk and jazz flavors. Their repertoire spans decades, from the classic rock era of the Woodstock period through to more recent material. The result is a tropical latin rock sound with enough energy that standing still feels like the wrong choice.
