About
Full of Hell named themselves after an Entombed song, and they've spent the years since proving they can't be pinned to one genre. Powerviolence, grindcore, sludge and harsh noise all collide in their sound, which critics have called blistering, brutal and experimental. They also collaborate more than most bands in extreme music. Japanese noise artist Merzbow, sludge duo The Body, doom heavyweights Primitive Man and shoegaze band Nothing have all made full albums with them. The band came together in 2009 and cut their teeth on A389 Recordings and Profound Lore before landing at Relapse Records in 2018. Trumpeting Ecstasy, their 2017 album, made Exclaim!'s top ten metal and hardcore albums of that year. More recent releases include Garden of Burning Apparitions in 2021, Coagulated Bliss in 2024, and the 2023 team up with Nothing, When No Birds Sang. They've also toured with Cannibal Corpse.
