About
Gazapizm, the stage name of Turkish rapper Anıl Murat Acar, built his reputation on street flavored hip hop that cuts straight to the bone. He founded the Argo İzmir collective in Konak, İzmir, and his 2014 album Yeraltı Edebiyatı, which translates roughly as Underground Literature, set the tone for a career rooted in raw, unvarnished lyricism. His second album Bir Gün Her Şey followed in 2016, and his reach grew considerably when his song Heyecanı Yok landed on the soundtrack of the hit TV series Çukur, right as Turkish rap was breaking into mainstream media in a big way. That Çukur connection brought a second track too: he teamed up with Cem Adrian for Kalbim Çukurda, a collaboration that put two very different voices in the same room to striking effect. He has kept releasing music consistently, with the album HİZA in 2020, Dönmek için Eve arriving in 2024, and the single Aborjin dropping in 2025.
