Few bands blur the line between rock show and performance art quite like the Genitorturers. Founded in Orlando by vocalist Gen Zimmerman, this industrial metal outfit built their reputation on a fearless combination of heavy electronics, metal riffs, and elaborately staged BDSM themed performances that earned them television spots on VH1, HBO and Playboy TV. Hustler devoted a 12 page spread to them, calling them the world's sexiest band, a title the group wears proudly. Their catalogue runs from the 1993 debut 120 Days of Genitorture through to Sin City in 1998 and Blackheart Revolution in 2009. Along the way they picked up some notable collaborators, including Morbid Angel's David Vincent on bass and producers Dave Ogilvie and Scott Humphrey on the remix album Machine Love. Their track Lecher Bitch landed in the 2004 video game Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, giving them an extra dose of cult credibility. After a long quiet stretch, they surfaced on Halloween 2020 with a brand new song, Scars and Stripes Forever, showing the band still has plenty to say.
