About
Get the Shot have been one of Quebec City's most relentless exports in the hardcore scene since forming in 2009. Their sound pulls from hardcore punk, melodic hardcore, and thrash metal, and reviews of their 2017 album Infinite Punishment also caught deathcore and beatdown elements in the mix, drawing comparisons to Malevolence. They kicked things off with a self produced EP, In Fear We Stand, then followed up with their debut album Perdition in 2012 and kept building from there through No Peace in Hell, Infinite Punishment, and Merciless Destruction in 2022. Live, they have put in serious road work across Europe, sharing stages on tours with Comeback Kid, Deez Nuts, Nasty, and Lionheart, and playing major festivals including Hellfest in France and Heavy Montréal. In 2024 they signed with German label Arising Empire, releasing a music video for Domination Predation shortly after.
