Glen Glenn was a rockabilly singer from Joplin, Missouri, who got his real break when he signed with Era Records in Los Angeles in late 1957. His debut single 'Everybody's Movin'' dropped in January 1958 and showed off a style shaped in part by his friendship with Eddie Cochran. The Army cut his momentum short, and by the time he was discharged in 1960, the moment had passed. A move to Dore Records and a shift toward pop did not help matters. What saved his legacy was a 1977 Ace Records compilation in Britain, which introduced his recordings to a new generation of rockabilly fans and put him back on stage. He and longtime guitar partner Gary Lambert recorded a fresh album in 1984, and Glen kept performing in California clubs and making trips to Britain and Europe well into later life. He passed away in March 2022 at the age of 87.
