About
God Module took their name from an X Files episode about a rumored region of the human brain said to be responsible for belief in God, which tells you something about the kind of dark, cerebral territory they operate in. The Orlando born electro industrial act has been releasing music since 1999, built around the core of vocalist and programmer Jasyn Bangert. Their debut album Artificial landed at number 11 on the CMJ RPM Charts, and the band has kept a steady output ever since, now with a catalog spanning full lengths, EPs, and remixes on Metropolis Records. Stylistically they sit at the harder, moodier end of the electronic spectrum, blending EBM and darkwave with industrial textures. Over the years the lineup has shifted but the project has remained prolific, hitting a busy patch in 2019 with two EPs and a full album, The Unsound, followed by a remix record in 2020. They have toured North America regularly and dipped into European festivals along the way.
