About
Keith Kenniff works under the Goldmund name to explore post classical solo piano music, and it's a project that sits comfortably apart from his other output as ambient electronic producer Helios or his shoegaze band Mint Julep. The Goldmund catalogue stretches back to 2005 with Corduroy Road and now spans ten albums, including The Time It Takes from 2020 and the most recent Layers of Afternoon from 2025. His piano work has appeared on Type Records and Western Vinyl, and he has performed it extensively across the US, Europe, Japan and Canada. Kenniff is also a film and television composer, perhaps most visibly through his soundtrack for the Emmy Award winning documentary Blood Road and his song 'Years', written for Facebook's 'A Look Back' feature. In 2010 he founded his own imprint, Unseen, which has released several of the Goldmund records. The sheer range of his parallel projects, ambient, piano, shoegaze, children's music and film scoring, makes Goldmund one of the more quietly prolific corners of the contemporary instrumental world.
