Gorgon City (GB)

About

North London duo Gorgon City, made up of producers Kye "Foamo" Gibbon and Matt "RackNRuin" Robson Scott, built their reputation on a strain of deep house and electronic music that somehow managed to feel both club ready and radio friendly at the same time. Their 2014 singles "Ready for Your Love" featuring MNEK and "Here for You" both cracked the UK top ten, and their debut album Sirens peaked at number 10 on the UK Albums Chart. They also had a hand in Jess Glynne's single "Right Here" and even looped in Klaxons for a collaborative release, showing a pretty eclectic range of taste. Their second studio album Escape arrived in 2018, pulling in collaborators like Duke Dumont, Wyclef Jean, and D Double E. More recently they have kept busy with new material, including tracks like "5AM At Bagleys" and a collaboration with Caroline Byrne called "Run It Back", suggesting they are nowhere near done exploring the floor filling side of UK electronic music.
