About
Green Crow Collective is a Belgian band that calls itself a mischievous ball orchestra, and the lineup has a solid pedigree: members come from Gorki, Too Tangled, Zesde Metaal, Guido Belcanto and MrPaul&theLowriders. They call their sound EuroDada, a blend of Western rock, Eastern scales and a hefty dose of Belgian surrealism. Their 2024 debut album, Hard Drive Error, put them on the map of the alternative Belgian scene and earned a warm reception from press and radio. They followed it with LOBOTOMIE, an album that looks straight at the flood of news, opinions and algorithms we all live in. The songs are more direct and harder hitting, but the playfulness is still there. Echoes of Mano Negra, T.C. Matic, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Fontaines D.C. and 16 Horsepower come up, though the band never turns into a copy of any of them. Live, things reportedly build into a chaotic whirlwind, steered by a shaman like frontman.
