About
Grootkoor Drenthe is a classical choir from the Dutch province of Drenthe, led by conductors Etty van der Mei and Nan van Groeningen. The ensemble is known for performing Christmas programmes that move between quiet, intimate moments and full, celebratory passages, built around timeless seasonal classics and melodic repertoire that fills a concert hall. Their performances bring together a range of musicians: the choir has worked with flautist Erica Vogel, whose warm tone adds a sparkling quality to the programme, alongside pianist Andy Booth and organist Martin Mans. The combination of voices, flute, piano and organ creates an interplay that is both festive and close in feel.
