Gunna built his name on a relentless drip aesthetic and a melodic trap style that made him one of Atlanta's most recognizable voices. Born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens in College Park, Georgia, he signed with Young Thug's YSL Records and broke through with his Drip Season mixtape series. The 2018 collab tape with Lil Baby, Drip Harder, was the real turning point: lead single 'Drip Too Hard' went diamond and cracked the top five on the Billboard Hot 100, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Rap/Sung Performance. From there he kept stacking chart hits. His album Wunna debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2020, and DS4Ever repeated that feat in 2022. A Gift and a Curse followed in 2023, with 'FukUMean' becoming another top ten hit. His 2024 album One of Wun showed no signs of slowing down, and The Last Wun arrived in 2025 as his final release through YSL and 300 Entertainment.
