A YouTube clip for her cover of "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" racked up 5.6 million views, which says a lot about her knack for connecting with listeners across borders. Her voice sits comfortably in the vocal jazz tradition, drawing on the Great American Songbook while leaving room for her own songwriting. Butterfly Blue from 2015 hit number one in Japan and earned a spot on NPR reviewer George D. Graham's best albums of the year list.
