About
Harmonie Arti is a wind orchestra based in Alphen aan den Rijn, built around a strong commitment to nurturing young musicians. Its main ensemble, Groot Arti, performs a wide stylistic range, covering twentieth century repertoire from composers and traditions as varied as Shostakovich, Irish folk music, and pop figures like Robbie Williams and John Miles. Many of its players came up through Jong Arti, the organisation's training orchestra, which gives the ensemble a notably deep connection to local youth music making. Alongside its regular concert programme, Harmonie Arti actively works to get young people in Alphen enthusiastic about playing music together.
