About
HE:LEEN Play is a recurring musical series, a monthly collaboration between venue De Helling and LE:EN, THE DRAIN PLAY. Each edition brings live acts to the stage in an intimate, seated setting, and entry is free. The lineup changes every month, with artists spanning folk, pop, jazz and beyond, making each event its own thing rather than a fixed formula. The series has hosted acts like The Cosmic Collective, Neko, Ils and KIIK, covering a wide range of styles from psychedelic folk rock to Dutch language kleinkunst pop and cinematic indie. That variety seems to be the point: HE:LEEN Play functions as a low threshold stage for artists with something genuine to say.
