About
Lande Hekt made her name as the lead vocalist of Exeter indie rock band Muncie Girls, but since going solo she has carved out a sharp, personal sound all her own. Her debut solo album Going to Hell came out in 2021 on Get Better Records and earned strong reviews, followed a year later by House Without a View, which arrived alongside singles including "Backstreet Snow" and "Gay Space Cadets". Both records show a knack for direct, honest songwriting that doesn't waste a word. Her third solo album Lucky Now, released in early 2026 through Tapete Records, marks a new chapter after Muncie Girls officially called it a day in 2023. The single "Favourite Pair Of Shoes" offered a first taste of where she had taken things, and the move to Tapete suggests she is finding an ever wider audience for her no frills, emotionally candid brand of indie rock.
