About
Herriemakers is a music theatre show built around a question every kid knows all too well: what do you want to be when you grow up? The four saxophonists of the Ardemus Quartet perform the show, bringing to life four characters named Iet, Wiet, Waai and Weg, who cause so much noise that they are forced to live in a tent far from everyone else. Their plan to escape this situation? Get rich or famous. Things get complicated when one of them wants to be in charge, threatening to tear the group apart. Voice over, video, lighting, set design and costumes round out the production. The show is aimed at primary school pupils and combines humour with a story that does not shy away from bigger questions about ambition and belonging.
