Het Amsterdam Trio brings together three soloists who approach the classical piano trio as a genuine conversation between equals. The ensemble pairs violinist Anna Lipkind Mazor and cellist Dmitry Prokofiev with pianist Andrey Gugnin, and their programmes are built like journeys, moving from intimate chamber dialogue toward richly romantic sound worlds. Refined tonal colour and intense interplay are the group's trademarks. Their repertoire ranges widely across the classical and romantic canon. A typical programme might open with the crisp, rhythmically driven Sonatina by Honegger, shift into the dreamy nocturnal atmosphere and explosive dance energy of Szymanowski's Nocturne and Tarantella, and then arrive at Tchaikovsky's monumental Piano Trio in A minor, a vast work written in memory of Nikolai Rubinstein, full of broad melodies, dramatic contrasts and an extended set of variations.
